Why this resource exists
Participant is a participant of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). As a government funded scheme, the NDIS can be tricky to navigate. Participant’s personalised dashboard exists to provide a clear understanding of who Participant is and offering guidance in navigating the NDIS and other aspects of life. Additionally, it ensures the safeguarding of Participant's NDIS plan, especially if current support person is unable to continue in that role either temporarily or on a permanent basis.
Participant’s dashboard contains valuable information and a pathway for new support person to maintain Participant’s day-to-day routine, personal details, current funding from NDIS plan, and it provides the tools required to build on it as needs change in the future. Certain parts of the dashboard will need to be updated as Participant’s needs and life situation change. The aim is to ensure that the information accurately reflects current circumstances, so that the risk of interruption to the support requires is minimised.
When to use Participant’s dashboard
- To establish and maintain a Future Plan for Participant to safeguard day-to-day life.
- If Participant or if any of caregivers are new to the NDIS
- To protect and maximise NDIS plan outcomes
